My 3 little ducklings died yesterday. Does anyone know if grey water, prawns or guinea pig food kills them?

I also planted a few Camellia trees and some of the branches were torn off? (Might not have been ducks) What foods will kill ducks?

Maybe you did feed them something bad if all 3 of them died, where is their mom was she with them?
Reply:They should have been fed starter that is non medicated until there 1 month old, at tractor supply. Then after 1 month old should be fed cracked corn.

You didnt feed them guienipig food did you. Oh goodness, feed that is not for them will kill them. Remove all toxic plants(plants that you wouldnt eat in ur garden.) will hurt them. Or put plant guars around them. Be carful next time and dont get anymore until u do so. Ducklings are to saty inside until 1 month old. Plenty of fresh CLEAN water too.
Reply:Ducklings have very specialized needs in order to survive. They are hard to keep without the proper heat, diet, and related care.

So all of the things on your list could have contributed to the demise of your ducklings.

Ducklings should be kept in a warm environment for the first month or so. Brooders help regulate the temperature which then gets reduced over time. If the ducklings huddled together then this was part of the problem.

Ducklings also have specific nutritional needs and substitute food can contribute to nutritional deficiencies. They should be feed specific mash for ducks along with plenty of water. Feeding should be frequent, too. (A feeder makes it easier.)

Although mash varies, some of the ingredients may include corn, soybean meal, fish meal dried whey, rice bran, oyster shell, bone meal, vitamin and minerals. Purina (aka Mazuri) has specific duck formulas.

Protein levels needs change--usually ducklings are started on a starter mash, move to grower mash, then change to layer (breeder) mash. Plus veggies and assorted snacks--such as insects and even worms.

Here is information on how to care and feed ducklings that might help you in the future:
